GRIFFIN, Ga. — It was a record-setting win for the Griffin High School Bears on Saturday night.
But as quarterback Jaquez Parks celebrated the 4-AAAA state championship at the Georgia Dome, little did he know that something horrible was happening at his Spalding County home.
The house was ransacked by thieves who apparently used an axe to break through the back door.

Parks’ family said the burglars took everything, from television sets to Christmas gifts, and even the teen’s iPad, laptop and backpack ahead of his final exams.
The quarterback is trying to get past it all with lessons he learned from football.
Parks will graduate in the spring and is still considering which college to attend.
