Champlain Valley (4-0)

at Middlebury (4-0),

7 p.m. Friday

* The Redhawks can’t afford a slow start vs. disciplined and balanced Middlebury, which put up 35 first-half points in last week’s win at Rutland. The Tigers won last year’s meeting in a rout.

Essex (2-2) at Rutland (2-1),

7 p.m. Friday

* The Hornets are back in playoff contention after winning two straight. Can they keep it going vs. the Raiders in this long-standing rivalry?

BFA-Fairfax (2-2) at U-32

(3-1), 7 p.m. Friday

* The Bullets are on the outside of hosting a first-round playoff game in D-III’s newly expanded eight-team postseason. A win over run-heavy U-32 might change that.

Woodstock (4-0) at

Mill River (4-0),

2 p.m. Saturday

* The game of the year in D-III. The Minutemen can prove they are title contenders vs. two-time champion Woodstock.

Bellows Falls (2-2) at Burr and Burton (3-1), 2 p.m. Saturday

* This matchup will likely have major implications on the Division II playoff race. Bellows Falls won last year’s showdown 51-44.
