H.S. football: Lyndon earns top spot in D-II

BELLOWS FALLS

James Shufelt ran for 115 yards and four touchdowns to lead Vikings to a 26-21 win over Bellows Falls on Saturday afternoon that clinched the top seed in the high school football Division II playoffs.

Josh Guyer ran for 103 yards on 11 carries for Lyndon, who finish the regular 7-0 and will host No. 4 Fair Haven.

Ethan Illingworth threw for 101 yards (6-for-14) and one touchdown for Bellows Falls, who grab the No. 3 seed and will travel to face No. 2 Rice.

Austin Stack and Kyle O’Rourke each scored a TD for the Terriers.

* Burlington 14, Mount Mansfield 3: Burlington finished out the season with a win over host Mount Mansfield on Saturday.

Burlington finishes the season 3-5.

Mount Mansfield wrapped up the season with a 3-6 record.
