Patrick Libuda ran for 158 yards and four touchdowns to lead Hartford to a 49-14 win over visiting Rutland in Division I high school football.
Nolan Viens added two touchdowns and ran for 103 yards for the Hurricanes (5-2). Nick Terino returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter for Hartford, who had a 21-7 lead at halftime.
Rutland (4-3) was lead by quarterback Nick Boles, who was 12-for-27 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown, hitting Stephen Anderson with a 22-yard TD pass in the second quarter.
* Brattleboro 7, Mount Anthony 6: Kassidi Ramirez scored a touchdown on a 14-yard run in the second quarter for Brattleboro and the Colonels held on for a one-point win over visiting Mount Anthony.
Adam McPhail had 76 yards on 15 carries to lead Brattleboro (2-6) and Ryan Fontaine nailed the extra point of Ramirez’s score.
Tyler Mattison scored on an 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for Mount Anthony (0-8) but the extra point was missed. Mattison had 47 yards on 11 carries and Jacob Normyle ran for 58 yards on 17 carries.
* Bellows Falls 77, Springfield 8: Carson Fullam ran a punt back 70 yards for a touchdown on Bellows Falls’ first offensive play of the game and the Terriers never looked back in a win over host Springfield.
David Dunbar added a 47-yard run for a touchdown and Austin Stack recovered a fumble and then ran the ball 20 yards into the end zone on the next offensive possession for Bellows Falls (6-2).
The Terriers had a 39-0 lead at halftime. Springfield falls to 0-7.
* Fair Haven 43, North Country 6: Ryan Alexander hit Lucas Czarnecki with two touchdown passes as Fair Haven beat visiting North Country to keep its Division II playoff hopes alive.
Alexander hit Czarnecki with a 16- and 56-yard touchdown pass. Alexander finished with 166 passing yards and added a 45 yard touchdown run for Fair Haven (5-3).
Nick Brooks added a 12-yard touchdown and Tyler Rice finished 167 yards and two touchdowns for the Slaters.
Tyler Jenne scored for North Country, scampering 7 yards into the end zone.
* U-32 32, Spaulding 29: Caleb Brochu scored the first two touchdowns for U-32 as it held on for a win over Spaulding.
Brochu added a third touchdown in the second half and Matt Greene hit Robert Smith with a 20-yard pass for a touchdown for U-32 (7-1).
Dylan DiLena scored on a 60-yard touchdown and Taryn Leclair-Dindo added a 4-yard touchdown run for Spaulding (0-8).
