Three turnovers and Noblesville’s ability to run the football ensured Harrison would endure its third consecutive winless regular season.

Cody Smith rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Millers to a 35-0 victory in the final Hoosier Crossroads Conference game between the two schools. Harrison (0-9) departs next season for the North Central Conference.

The Raiders now have two weeks to prepare for their Class 5A sectional opener against top-ranked Westfield at Rickard Field. Westfield improved to 8-1 with a 38-14 victory at Lafayette Jeff.

Three interceptions and a blocked punt halted any momentum Harrison was able to build. The Raiders matched Noblesville (5-4) with 16 first downs, but their total offensive output of 236 yards fell short of the Millers’ rushing attack.

Smith’s 70-yard touchdown run was the only scoring of the first quarter, and it was just 14-0 at halftime thanks to T.C. McKiernan’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Joey Herron.

A 10-yard touchdown run by Smith and Avery Baumgardner’s 5-yard TD run in the third quarter put the game out of reach.
