THE WINNER: Alohi Robins-Hardy
THE BASICS
School: Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama (Honolulu, Hawaii)
Grade: Senior
Position: S/OH
Height: 6-foot-2
Athletic achievement: She led the Warriors to a 32-2 record and the Division I state title this past season. Robins-Hardy recorded 315 assists, 227 kills, 209 digs and 55 blocks while posting a .442 kill percentage and a .341 hitting percentage. The 2013 Division I State Tournament MVP, she was also selected as the 2013 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Player of the Year.
Academic excellence: Robins-Hardy has maintained a 3.31 GPA.
Exemplary character: A devoted member of her church community, she has volunteered locally on behalf of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
THE PRAISE
“Alohi Robins-Hardy demonstrated much character and leadership throughout the season, leading her team to a state championship,” said Tommy Lake, head coach at Moanalua (Honolulu, Hawaii). “She was a huge reason why her team finished top in the state. She conducted herself as a true leader by example.”
THE FUTURE: Robins-Hardy has signed with BYU.
