Smyrna at Blackman

When: 7 p.m., today

Where: The Inferno

Records: Smyrna is 6-4. Blackman is 8-2.

Rankings: Blackman is ranked fifth in Class 6A in the final Associated Press poll.

Last meeting: Blackman defeated Smyrna 28-13 in Week 8 of this season.

Players to watch: Smyrna: RB LaDarius Summers (118.8 rushing ypg, 16 TDs), WR Darrell Haralson (36.6 receiving ypg, 5 TDs), CB D.J. Williams (6 INTs), RB/LB Rodney Shelton (27.9 rushing ypg, 6 TDs, 4 sacks). Blackman: QB Jauan Jennings (115.9 passing ypg, 55.9 rushing ypg, 21 total TDs), RB Cole Notgrass (81.2 rushing ypg, 9 TDs), WR Ronnie Killings (37.4 rushing ypg, 4 TDs), LB Antonio Allen (48 tackles, 1 INT).

Keys to the game: Blackman must shut down Summers and force the Bulldogs to throw the football. Likewise, the Bulldogs must do the same. Jennings struggled against the Bulldogs in the first meeting. Smyrna must find a replacement for LB/FB Dallas Padgett (knee).

Wilson Central at Oakland

When: 7 p.m, today

Where: Ray Hughes Stadium

Records: Wilson Central is 6-4. Oakland is 10-0.

Rankings: Oakland is ranked second in Class 6A in the final Associated Press poll.

Last meeting: Oakland defeated Wilson Central 16-10 in 2008.

Players to watch: Wilson Central: RB Alex Price (64.5 rushing ypg), RB Kaleb Butler (48.8 rushing ypg), Jordan Roundtree (140.7 passing ypg). Oakland: RB Fred Wade (102.8 rushing ypg), DT Austin Barrett (51 tackles, 6 sacks), LB Kevin Prather (90 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, 3 fumbles recovered), RB Darryle Hood Jr. (72.8 rushing ypg).

Keys to the game: Oakland hasn’t played down to its competition level all season. It can’t tonight as the Patriots try to win their first postseason game since 2009. Oakland’s front line will give the Wildcats major problems all night. The Patriots should be able to control the clock with the ground game.

Siegel at Antioch

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Antioch High

Records: Siegel is 7-3. Antioch is 5-5.

Rankings: Siegel is ranked ninth in Class 6A in the final Associated Press poll.

Last meeting: This is the first meeting between the teams.

Players to watch: Siegel: RB Denzel Harding (104.6 rushing ypg), QB Dakota Crane (180.3 passing ypg, 50.8 rushing ypg), LB Nick Peters, RB Andrew Knox (51.9 rushing ypg). Antioch: QB Raekwon Hosey (45.1 passing ypg, 56.2 rushing ypg), RB Moses Cornelius (126.0 rushing ypg), RB Kebrin Peterson (77.3 rushing ypg).

Keys to the game: Siegel’s defense will face the triple option, something it hasn’t faced all season. That could challenge a defense that has already allowed many big plays and 27.4 points a game.

MTCS at Marion Co.

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Marion County High, Jasper

Records: MTCS is 6-4. Marion County is 8-2.

Rankings: Marion County is ranked eighth in Class 2A in the final Associated Press poll.

Marion Co.: RB Blake Zeman (158.1 rushing ypg, 25 TDs), QB Logan Walters (107.5 passing ypg), WR Clay O’Shields (56.9 receiving ypg, 8 TDs).

Keys to the game: MTCS must score early and put the pressure on Marion County. Zeman is a talented, physical running back that will give the Cougars’ front line problems.
