ATTICA – Bryce Cooper scored 27 points in 24 minutes as the Attica boys basketball team grabbed an early lead and rolled to a 60-44 victory over Benton Central on Thursday, snapping the Bison’s three-game winning streak.

The Red Ramblers (10-9) did it with defense early, holding Benton Central to just two first-quarter points while building an eight-point cushion. Attica also enjoyed a substantial edge at the foul line, making nearly twice as many free throws (21 of 32) as the Bison (7 of 11) shot.

Kenny Little and J.R. Dunwell each added 10 points for Attica. Benton Central (6-15) was led by a 13-point effort from Jack Marquie.
