Thanks to Abby Bohanski, a large contingent of Stevens Point Area Senior High girls were able to see action agsint Wausau East Friday night.
Bohanski scored two goals to give the Panthers a comforatable lead en rout to a 3-0 victory over the Lumberjacks and improved to 10-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
SPASH scored all three goals in the first 30 minutes of the game and then subbed generously in the second half.
“With our nice lead we were able to get a lot of girls in the game,” SPASH coach Don Peel said. “Our defense played outstanding and notched their ninth shutout in 13 games.”
Peel offered specila props to defenders Justice Menge, Brittanie Pinter, Kaeli Hefferan and Rachel Muenchow.

Nick Strigel twirled a one-hit shutout and Aaron Nickel and Andrew Ruzek provided the offense, as each belted three-run homers the Panthers’ nonconference victory.
“Nick really pitched a nice game and we continued to swing the bats well. It was nice to pick up where we left off last night,” Stevens Point Area Senior High coach Kraig Terpstra said.
