ZIONSVILLE – Elizabeth Burton scored three goals and assisted on Koral Briggs’ score to lead McCutcheon to a 4-0 victory over Penn on Saturday at the Zionsville Invitational.
Hayley Karpick scored for West Lafayette, but Columbus North broke through to score twice in the second half and take a 3-1 victory over the Red Devils. Emily Field had eight saves for the Red Devils.
LEBANON – Hamilton Heights (7-0) recorded its sixth consecutive shutout and got the only goal it needed on Amanda Freeman’s score in the first two minutes of a 3-0 victory against Central Catholic in the opening round.
The Knights topped Herron 7-1 behind two goals apiece from freshman Emma Gerrety and senior Kelsey Harding.
LEBANON – The host Tigers limited Central Catholic’s boys soccer team to three shots on goal and captured the tournament title.
Jacob Clemens scored three times for the Tigers (5-2-1).
Central Catholic (4-2-1) advanced to the title game with a 1-0 victory over Rossville. Nick Thompson scored off a Chris Cardenas pass in the first half, and Tim Wagner made the lead stand up with three saves.
CRAWFORDSVILLE – Jose Cortez’s first-half goal stood up thanks to 11 saves from Justin Raters in goal for the Athenians (3-4-3).
Josue Cardenas assisted on Cortez’s goal.
RENSSELAER – Chase Klinger’s goal early in the second half held up as the game-winner after Lowell almost rallied from a 4-0 deficit.
Pierce Van Houten, Chandler Gull and Anjel Clemente gave the Bombers (4-2-1) a 3-0 halftime lead. Simmeon Gastineau made 14 saves.
