Gage Ulery’s bunt single scored Jake Churchill in the bottom of the 13th inning Friday night to lift Class A No. 2 Central Catholic to a 4-3 home baseball victory over Chatard.
The victory was CC coach Tim Bordenet’s 400th.
Churchill was hit by a pitch to start the 13th and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by winning pticher Cowan Olinger. Churchill took third on a passed ball, and Ulery laid down the bunt on the next pitch.
Churchill finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and combined with Olinger to pitch 71/3 hitless innings of relief.
Ryan DeBoy gave the Knights a 2-0 lead in the third inning with a two-run double. Churchill stole home in the fourth inning to make it 3-0.
FISHERS – Justin Curry pitched five innings of one-hit ball, and Kaleb Waller went 2-for-3 with a home run.
Waller’s two-run homer in the third inning gave Curry a lead he and the Mavericks would not relinquish. Curry allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five.
The lead grew to 6-0 in the sixth. Jordan Young hit a bases-loaded RBI single, Andrew Roginski walked to force in a run and Myles Hann hit a two-run single.

BROWNSBURG – Austin Albrecht went 2-for-3, but the rest of the Bronchos were held to two hits by Ty McCoy.
Griff Clark’s RBI single gave Jeff a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
ZIONSVILLE – Parker Dunshee’s three-run homer in the third erased a 2-0 Harrison lead.
Carter Bridge’s sacrifice fly and an error gave the Raiders (0-17) a 2-0 lead in the second.
