The Alabama Christian baseball team went 4-1 last week.
In the Jason Armstrong FCA tournament, the Eagles defeated Prattville 11-0, Stanhope Elmore 8-1 and lost to Plainview 3-0.
Against Prattville, winning pitcher Chandler Taylor was 3-for-4, including two home runs, five RBIs and two runs scored. Taylor also gave up three hits and struck out seven in seven innings. Patrick Cox drove in two runs. Tyler Sheehan was 4-for-4 with an RBI. Ricky Solar had two hits and an RBI.
Against Stanhope, Solar was 2-for-4 with a home run. Tanner Roberts and Sam Moody each had two hits. Winning pitcher Luke Stowers gave up a run on two hits in three innings.
The Eagles were no-hit against Plainview, but they bounced back by sweeping Jemison 4-2, 9-3. In the 4-2 victory, Cox had a home run with two RBIs. Solar got the win, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out six in seven innings. In the 9-3 win, J.J. Kidd hit a grand slam, and Taylor had another home run. Winning pitcher Logan Coleman gave up two runs on four hits and struck out four in five innings.
Brewbaker Tech 5,
Paul Oberkor led the Rams with two goals during a recent match against the Indians.
Zachary McCaa, Austin Duos and Talal Salameh also scored.
Duos also had two assists.
The Rams will play at St. James at 7 p.m. today.
Prattville Christian 3
PRATTVILLE – Andre Phillips, Blake Sowers and Will Phillips won singles matches for the Lions. The teams of Andre Phillips-Sowers, Davis Compassi-Brandon Taylor and Will Phillips and Austin Halverson won in doubles.
PCA’s Preston Webb, Connor Harris and Jon McCall won singles matches.
Prattville Christian 4
PRATTVILLE – Prattville’s Kristin Chambliss, Sarah Butts and Lauren Chambliss won singles matches. The teams of Kristin Chambliss-Kaitlyn Claybrook and Lauren Chambliss-Kristen Hayden won in doubles.
For PCA, Madison Thompson, Semone Phillips and Bailey Mount won singles matches.
Phillips and Ansley Story won a doubles match.
