Jenny Borfitz scored a team-high 13 points as Norwich defeated Chenango Valley 55-45 in Southern Tier Athletic Conference girls basketball on Thursday.
Borfitz finished with two 2-pointers, one three and went 6 of 7 from the foul line.
Breanna Cashman added 11 points and Carin Kuhn scored nine for Norwich, which outscored the visitors in all four quarters and made five 3-pointers and sunk 14 free throws.
Hannah Elliot was the lone Chenango Valley player in double figures, scoring a game-high 17 points.
Binghamton 4, Union-Endicott 3: At SUNY Broome, Binghamton’s Cameron Dunn and Matt Evans each had a goal and two assists as the Patriots (3-2-1) eked out a victory over the Tigers in a Broome County High School Hockey Association game.
Willy O’Shea added a goal and an assist and Justin Rozen also scored for Binghamton.
Adam Sokol scored two goals and Lewis Newman had two assists for Union-Endicott.
Michelle Schultz made 28 saves in goal for the Patriots and Connor Kettle made 34 saves in goal for U-E.
Windsor 103, Susquehanna Valley 75: At SV, Windsor’s Zachary Abdullah won the 200-yard freestyle and was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay team as Windsor topped SV in a STAC swim meet.
