Dan Manzari had two hits and four RBIs to lead Catholic over Sidney Lanier 17-1 on Thursday. Greg Rickels and Cole Dixon each had two hits and three RBIs.

Kyle Berher and Brett Foxworth each had two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Robert Smith allowed three hits and struck out six in four innings.

SELMA – The Generals pull off a sweep on the road.

In the first game, Dalrius Fields went 2-for-4, and winning pitcher Kevin Dowdell struck out six.

In Game 2, Xavier Taylor was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and also pitched a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts.

Valley 2, Trinity 0

VALLEY – Valley’s Matt Foster pitched a one-hitter and struck out 18.

Trinity will play at Alabama Christian on Saturday, facing Chilton County at 2:30 p.m. and the Eagles at 5 p.m.

Edgewood 9,

Macon-East 1

ELMORE – Rod Boykin was 2-for-4 with two runs scored for the Wildcats (2-1).

Taylor Hawthorne, Dylan Ingram and Heath Young each had two RBIs.

Young gave up two hits and struck out four in five innings for the win.

Edgewood hosts Tuscaloosa Academy at noon Saturday.

Autauga Academy 9,

Eastwood 4

PRATTVILLE – Winning pitcher Rocky Milton gave up a hit, no runs and struck out 11 for the Generals (2-0). Milton also drove in three runs.

Hunter Meeks had two hits and two runs. Zach Pauline also drove in a run.


Prattville 4,

Dothan 2

DOTHAN – Perry Hindi and Charlee West each had two hits. Hindi drove in a run, and West scored.

Winning pitcher Hayden Strickland gave up six hits, striking out three.

The Lions (2-0) will compete in the Hillcrest tournament beginning today.

Lowndes Academy 19-15,

East Memorial 0-0

LOWNDESBORO – The Rebels improved to 3-0.

In Game 1, Mallory McCurdy had two hits, including a three-run homer. Abby Ray had three hits, and Jessica Gallardo added an RBI. Paige Hill was the winning pitcher.

In Game 2, Carmen Till drove in a run.

Anna Bozeman picked up the win.

Lowndes Academy hosts Edgewood on Tuesday.

Macon-East 6,

Edgewood 2

ELMORE – Paxton Searle and Devin Kennedy each had three hits for the Knights (3-0). Searle had three RBIs. Kennedy and Jesi Garrett also drove in runs.

Bailey Singleton (2-0) was the winning pitcher.

Kelsey Hartley had a home run and two RBIs for Edgewood, who will host a doubleheader against Tuscaloosa Academy at noon Saturday.

Macon-East hosts Glenwood at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Trinity 4

Alex Stroud scored two goals for ACA. J.J. Williams and Kippy Tate also scored for the Eagles.

Lyman Ward 2

CAMP HILL – Daniel Lee completed his hat trick during the first five-minute overtime for the victory.

The Knights (1-1) host Glenwood at 7 p.m. Tuesday.


Trinity 2,

Alabama Christian 0

Ellen Trotman and Aliya Seebrat scored for the Wildcats.

Goalkeeper Blake Cantey got the shutout.

Trinity hosts Benjamin Russell on Monday.
