Montgomery Academy celebrated Senior Night as the Eagles defeated Prattville Christian 25-21, 22-25, 15-8 and G.W. Carver 25-16, 25-12 in a tri-match on Thursday.
Jillian Tinglin had 13 kills, Lillian Roth 11 kills and 10 blocks, Cady Upchurch eight kills and Rachel Lee had 37 assists.
MA (37-2) will compete in the Blalock Memorial Tournament in Homewood this weekend. The Eagles will then host the Class 2A, Area 8 tournament on Monday with Isabella and Prattville Christian playing at 3 p.m. and MA playing in the finals at 4:30 p.m.
Dawson Williams had 16 kills, an ace and four blocks to lead Trinity to a 15-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory over Alabama Christian.
Leeanne Phillips had six kills and 10 blocks. Elisabeth Bowman and Elizabeth Beck combined for 13 kills, two aces and 16 digs. Janie Hampton and Barbara Ann Trotman combined for 66 digs.

South Montgomery County Academy fell to 2-6 overall, 1-4 in AISA Class A, Region 1 play.

AISA state meet
The Eastwood boys and girls teams were both able to take home team titles at the AISA state cross country meet Thursday.
The Eastwood girls were able to edge out Lee-Scott thanks to second- and third-place finishes from Erin Powe and Rebekah Johnson, respectively.
Tuscaloosa Academy’s Anna McKenzie was able to win the individual award with a 21:11.
Lee Scott’s Erin King finished fourth, and Eastwood’s Laurel Powe finished fifth.
Lee-Scott’s Bracklin Steward set a boys’ meet record with a 16:53. However, Eastwood had four of the top five to win by a dominating 22-point margin.
Sam Hodge took second with an 18:22. Jan-Mikael Johnson finished third, Jacob Herbert fourth and Mark White fifth.
