The O’Gorman and Washington boys basketball teams lost district third-place games Friday to end their seasons.

O’Gorman lost 75-51 at Watertown in District 1AA, while Washington lost 60-43 at Yankton in District 2AA.

WATERTOWN 75, O’GORMAN 51 at Watertown – Tanner Heiser scored 35 points to power the Arrows. Heiser was 7-for-11 on 3-pointers and 12-for-18 overall. The win snapped a seven-game losing skid for the Arrows (11-11), who used an 18-5 second-quarter burst to lead 37-23. Jesse Poppen added 12 points. Watertown is host to Lincoln in Region 1AA on Tuesday. For O’Gorman (6-16), Braxton Elliott had 11 points and Kyle Scholten 10.

Pierre advances to the state tournament. Huron led 17-13 at halftime. For fifth-ranked Huron (14-7), J.P. Noonan scored 11 points. Justin Decker had 10 rebounds and Adam Zwanziger eight. The Tigers host a Region 2AA game on Tuesday.

ABERDEEN CENTRAL 59, MITCHELL 37 in Mitchell – Carter Paulson had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles (6-15) in the third-place game. Brady Mohr added 14 points and Jacob Goehring had five assists. AC led 31-21 at halftime. AC plays in Region 2AA on Tuesday. For Mitchell, (5-17), Cole Morgan had 13 points.

District 5A

MADISON 84, ELKTON-LAKE BENTON 62 at the Elmen Center – Trae Vandeberg scored 22 points to lead the fourth-ranked Bulldogs (20-2). Mason Sullivan added 15 points and Jesse Brown 14. Tyler Wiebe had 14 rebounds. Madison led 35-21 at halftime. Madison plays Dell Rapids in Region 3A on Tuesday at the Elmen Center. For ELB (19-3), Tyler Schindler had 21 points and Heath Schindler had 10 assists.

District 9A

MCCOOK CENTRAL/MONTROSE 49, MOUNT VERNON/PLANKINTON 45, OT in Hartford – Jake Heumiller had 17 points and five assists to lead the Fighting Cougars. Brandon Reif had 10 points. Will Gottlob addd 10 points and 13 rebounds. MCM led 26-21 at halftime. MCM faces Platte-Geddes in Region 5A at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hartford. For MVP, Deric Denning had 19 points. Jared Long had 14 points and seven assists.

District 7B

CANISTOTA 62, PARKER 37 in Tea – Alex Robertson had 19 points, seven assists and seven steals for the second-ranked Hawks (21-1). Jason VanWinkle added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Canistota led 25-17 at halftime. Canistota plays Viborg-Hurley in Region 4B at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tea. For Parker, Zach O’Keefe had 13 points and Jake Anderson added eight.

District 8B

VIBORG-HURLEY 43, CENTERVILLE 40 in Tea – The fourth-ranked Cougars outscored Centerville 14-2 in the third quarter to take a 37-22 lead, then held on for the win in the title game. Centerville never caught up and missed a half-court shot to tie at the buzzer. For VH (20-2), Tyler Gerdes scored 13 points, Andrew Hora 12 and Jack Huether 10. Hora had eight rebounds. The Cougars face Canistota in Region 4B at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tea. For Centerville (16-5), Logan Hunter had 13 points and Seamus O’Malley 10.

District 3A

CLARK-WILLOW LAKE 60, REDFIELD-DOLAND 30 in Clark – The top-ranked Cyclones won as Skyler Flatten scored 19 points and Tyson Jenkins 11. Flatten was 4-for-8 on 3-pointers and also had five assists. CWL will play Deuel in Region 2A at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swiftel Center in Brookings. For RD, Kyle Stover had nine points.

District 10A

PLATTE-GEDDES 60, PARKSTON 29 in Platte – Coby Johnson had 16 points to lead the Black Panthers (15-7). Hunter Johnson added 10 points and 13 rebounds. Tate VanZee had 10 points. Richard Sternberg had six steals and five assists. PG led 33-16 at halftime. For Parkston (12-10), Spencer Lucas had 12 points.

District 4A

DEUEL 45, SIOUX VALLEY 38 in Hayti – Lincoln Swenson scored 14 points to lead the Cardinals, who advance to the Region 2A title game at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Brookings. Brent Krause added 13 points and five steals. Deuel led 26-19 at halftime. For SV, Tayton Vincent had 17 points.

District 5B

SULLY BUTTES 60, LOWER BRULE 55 in Miller – Brayden Wittler scored 19 points for the Chargers. Cody Nelson added 16 points and Scott Senftner 14. SB led 25-17 at halftime. Sully Buttes plays in Region 3B at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Aberdeen. For LB, Latrell LaRoche had 22 points, Thomas Eagle Thunder 12 and L.J. Flute 10.

District 12B

SOUTH CENTRAL 60, DAKOTA CHRISTIAN 41 in Mitchell – Josh Tuttle scored 16 points for the Cougars, who advance to Region 6B at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn Palace. Garrett Bruns added 13 points and Dakota Votaw and Sam Hazen each had 10. SC led 26-16 at halftime. For DC, Carter Dykstra had 12 points and Jake Spoelstra 10.

Region 1B

WARNER 48, SUMMIT 44 in Milbank – Miranda Ristau had 12 points and 10 rebounds as the second-ranked Monarchs (22-1) beat top-ranked Summit to advance to the state tournament next week. Carly Rozell added 12 points and Ashley Rozell had 11. Summit handed Warner its only loss on Jan. 21. For Summit (21-2), which led 28-21 at halftime, Kalissa Pereboom had 18 points, Logan O’Farrell 16 and Presley O’Farrell 10.

Region 5B

SANBORN CENTRAL/WOONSOCKET 53, MITCHELL CHRISTIAN 47 in Huron – Shelby Selland scored 18 points to lead the fourth-anked Blackhawks (22-1). Marissa Weber and Myah Selland each had 11 points and Rachelle Moore added 10. For MC, which led 31-24 at halftime, Khiree Held had 14 points, Alexa VanLaecken 13 and Becca Glanzer 11.

Region 6A

CHAMBERLAIN 53, CHEYENNE-EAGLE BUTTE 35 in Gettysburg – Abby Handel had 17 points to lead the Cubs (21-1). Kennedy Wagner added 16 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Alex Pederson had 11 points and Jaymee Knippling had five steals. Chamberlain led 39-19 at halftime. For CEB, K’Lana Lofton had 12 points.
