Windsor’s Sherree Baker scored once in each half to lead the Black Knights over host Johnson City, 3-1, on Thursday in Southern Tier Athletic Conference girls soccer.
Baker’s second goal came after a goal by Madison Beriman to give Windsor a 2-1 lead after halftime.
Ashley Connelly scored the Wildcats’ goal.
Windsor moved to 5-2-1 with the win.
Owego 1, Chenango Valley 0: At CV, Katlyn Henry scored the lone goal when she controlled a loose ball out of a scramble and snuck it inside the far post from 18 yards out.
Maine-Endwell 1, Horseheads 1: At M-E, Alyssa Schrock scored to give Horseheads a 1-0 first-half lead, but Megan Raleigh answered for the Spartans. Neither team was able to capitalize on chances in the second half, or in either overtime.
Vestal 9, Binghamton 0: At Vestal, Victoria Antonakos had a hat trick and Julianna Kuryla added a goal and two assists as the Golden Bears (4-2) shut out the Patriots.
Seton Catholic Central 5, Chenango Forks 1: At Seton Catholic Central, Kaelyn Michitti had two goals, her sister Jenna added one, and their other sister Marissa finished with two assists as the Saints scored four times in the second half. Sierra Torillo made nine saves for Chenango Forks.
Tioga 2, Candor 1: At Candor, Adam Layman beat two defenders down the middle of the field and scored with just under three minutes remaining to give the Tigers the win.
Union Springs 2, Whitney Point 1: At Union Springs, Mitch Lepianka converted a penalty kick with 36 seconds to lift Union Springs. Lepianka had scored in the first half to give Union Springs a 1-0 lead.
Windsor 212, Chenango Valley 217: At Belden Hill, Nate Wrighter and Chris Lee each shot 5-over 41’s on the front nine as Windsor (7-1) defeated Chenango Valley (6-3) in a battle for first place in the East Division of the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.
Charlie Kane had a match-low three-over 39 for the Warriors.
Vestal 194, Union-Endicott 220: At En-Joie, Jared Reester shot an even-par 37, Nick Barney shot 1-over 38, and Jon Fosbury 2-over 39 as the Golden Bears (7-1) totaled under 200 for the second match in a row, defeating the rival Tigers (3-5).
Norwich 221, Owego 229: At Canasawacta, Joe Mioduszewski shot a 4-over par 40 to lead Norwich. Zane Paradise shot a 41 to card Owego’s low score of the match.
Vestal 3, Elmira 1: At Vestal, Kelsey Tompkins had nine kills and four blocks, while Paige Santelli added a team high 12 assists as the Golden Bears improved to 5-1 with a Southern Tier Athletic Conference victory over the Express.
Chenango Valley 3, Johnson City 2: At Chenango Valley, Maggie Gross had a match-high 17 kills, and Maddie Cline had a match-high 26 digs as Chenango Valley (3-3) squeaked by Johnson City.
Morgan Chilson had 31 assists for the Wildcats (0-6).
Chenango Forks 3, Susquehanna Valley 1: At Susquehanna Valley, Rachel Serva had a team-high 10 kills, Alicia Sullivan had nine assists and Madison Hefley had 15 digs as Chenango Forks improved to 3-4.
Owego 3, Oneonta 0: At Oneonta, Carie Farr had 21 assists and Paige Shaughnessy added four aces as Owego defeated Oneonta in a matchup of unbeaten Southern Tier Athletic Conference teams.
Corning 3, Binghamton 0: At Corning, Lauren Fie had four kills and three blocks while Olivia Furness dished out 14 assists to lead Corning.
