Colin Fellows’ two-run homer highlighted Trumansburg’s five-run fourth inning as the Blue Raiders defeated host Dryden, 12-6, on Wednesday in Interscholastic Athletic Conference baseball action.
Jeff Cotterill picked up the victory for T-burg, which added four runs in the fifth inning to take a 12-2 lead. Dryden (9-6 overall, 9-3 IAC) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth on Derek Wilson’s three-run homer, then added a run in the sixth on a Bruno Bugliosi RBI single.
A baserunning error cut the sixth-inning rally short, according to Dryden coach Kim Brown, who also said that eight of Trumansburg’s 12 runs reached base by walk.
“Our mental approach was not there,” Brown said. “We have to leave mistakes in the past and move on. Today we did not do a good job of that.”
Dryden was scheduled to host Moravia on Thursday; the Blue Raiders (10-4) host defending state Class C champion and undefeated Lansing today.

Ithaca’s three doubles teams lost just eight games in their sweep.
