HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Villa Walsh girls soccer rolls past St. Dominic

The Villa Walsh girls soccer team defeated Mount St. Dominic 3-1 on Saturday.

Senior defender Ally Ingraham, junior midfielders Alina Cathcart and Grace Penders scored for the Vikings (2-2). Junior Lauren Longo made six saves in goal after starting goalie Colleen Brennan was injured 15 minutes into the game. Villa Walsh outshot Mt. St. Dominic 17-7.

Pope John 3, Blair 0: Rebeca Frisk scored twice to lead the Lions (3-1). Senior midfielder Lizzie Klein had a goal and one assist and senior forward Alyssa Bolger chipped in two assists. Senior goalie Morgan Schiknis made two saves for the shutout.

Correction: Morristown-Beard sophomore midfielder Cami Calafiore had three assists in the 9-0 win over Dover on Friday, not two as was reported.
