HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Vizzuso leads Montville field hockey over Morris Knolls

Sophomore forward Kellie Vizzuso scored the game-winning goal on an assist by senior forward Valerie Speer with 1 minute 12 seconds remaining in the game to lift the Montville field hockey team over Morris Knolls 2-1 on Thursday.

Senior forward Stephanie Hughes scored at the start of the second half to give the Golden Eagles (2-2) a 1-0 lead. With 2:08 remaining senior midfielder Olivia Dickert tied the game for the Mustangs (4-1) on a corner by sophomore defender Rachel Yu. Sophomore goalie Sarah Karback made six saves for Montville while senior Emily Wisnewski made 13 stops for Morris Knolls.

High Point 5, Morris Hills 0: Senior forward Brittany DeLima had a hat trick to lead the Wildcats (4-0). Senior forward Carly Satter scored twice and had one assist. Junior goalie Autumn Smith recorded her fourth shutout with one save.

Vernon 1, Mount Olive 0: Senior midfielder Julie Cacae scored on an assist by sophomore forward Emily Garofalo. Goalie Lauren Incarnato made two saves for the Vikings (3-2). Junior goalie Arianna Krajewski made 13 saves for the Marauders (0-4).

Randolph 7, Parsippany Hills 0: Freshman Taralyn Naslonski had a hat trick and two assists to lead the Rams (2-1). Senior forward Lindsey Klein scored twice while senior midfielder Marley Bracklemanns-Puig and senior forward Kealyn Engenhart also scored. Senior goalie Courtney Calantone made one save for the shutout.

Mountain Lakes 2, Boonton 1: Sophomore midfielder Isabel Wessels scored the game-winner on a penalty corner by sophomore midfielder Charlotte Wessels to lead the Lakers on Wednesday. Senior forward Ashley Moreno also scored and senior forward Abby Morgis had the assist. Becky Dempster scored for the Bombers.

Boys Soccer

Dover 4, Parsippany 0: Sophomore midfielder Bryan Delgado led Dover (3-1) with a goal and two assists. Junior goalkeeper Mateo Salazar made seven saves for his first varsity shutout.

Morris Catholic 4, Butler 1: Freshman midfielder Juan Alzate of Morris Catholic had a goal and an assist. Sophomore midfielder Matt Unczowsky scored a first-half goal for Butler (0-4).

Morristown-Beard 6, Hanover Park 0: Senior defender Pat Fay scored a pair of goals as Morristown-Beard tallied six times in the second half. Kyle Heffernan made three saves to earn the shutout.

Wallkill Valley 3, Hopatcong 1: Lukas Budzel, Rocco Menna and Eric Yadvish all scored for Wallkill Valley. Senior striker Marcello Pizzaro scored for Hopatcong.

Vernon 2, High Point 0: Destan Antunbilek and Nik Polizos tallied for Vernon on Wednesday. Sophomore Eamon Logue made four saves for his first shutout.

Girls Soccer

Randolph 2, Mendham 0: Senior midfielders Anna Conklin and Dana Shalit scored for the Rams (2-1). Goalie Lori Bendick made four saves for the shutout.

Kinnelon 4, Boonton 0: Senior forward Ingrid DiClemente scored twice to lead the Colts (3-1). Junior midfielder Casey Gray and freshman Sam VanZile also scored. Freshman goalie Madison Ledwith made five saves for the shutout.

Parsippany 5, Dover 0: Freshman forward Salena Le Donne scored twice for the Red Hawks (2-2). Senior midfielder Samantha Pignatelli and senior forward Amanda Nardella each had a goal and an assist. Senior midfielder Alyssa Murray also scored. Sophomore goalie Danielle Spillert made six saves.

Madison 3, Whippany Park 1: Bailey Hurst scored twice to lead the Dodgers (2-1). Mackealla Goodwin also scored and senior forward Kelsey Dyer had two assists. Goalie Kristina Qualben made seven saves. For the Wildcats (1-2), senior forward Dina Sheira scored on an assist from junior defender Sarah Matrisciano.

Hackettstown 1, Jefferson 0: Junior forward Hannah Araki scored for the Tigers (2-2). Sophomore goalie Precscilla Acuria made five saves for the shutout. Senior goalie Danielle Beniulis made 15 saves for the Falcons (2-1-1).

Morris Catholic 9, St. Elizabeth 0: Sophomore forward Stella Johnson had two goals and two assists for the Crusaders (3-1). Senior forward Sarah Shirkey had two goals and one assist and freshman midfielder Sarah Racine scored twice. Senior forward Amanda Migoya chipped in three assists. Senior goalie Jeannie Kivlon made three saves for the shutout.

High Point 3, Vernon 0: Senior midfielder Stephanie Smolen scored twice for the Wildcats on Wednesday night. Senior midfielder Haley Sabyan also scored.
