With bases loaded and two outs, Dan Bower drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Piscataway High School baseball team earned a hard-fought 6-5 win over Perth Amboy on Saturday afternoon.
Perth Amboy (6-3) trailed 4-3 in the seventh but was able to push across the tying run and force extras. Each team traded runs in the eighth.
Casey Paulson went 3-for-5 with a run scored and Charles Mitchell finished 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored for Piscataway (3-7). Adam Tricarico reached base three times, doubled and scored two runs, while while Daniel Blount, Michael Campbell and George Nesler each drove in a run for the Chiefs.
Fernando Rosa went 2-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and two stolen bases for the Panthers.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood 8, J.F. Kennedy 4: Kevin Maxwell went 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Matt Ridge and Christian Zazzali collected two hits apiece as Scotch Plains-Fanwood (7-1) pounded out 13 hits. Winning pitcher Christian Isolda (1-0) was good enough, surrendering three earned runs on four hits while walking two and striking out five. Chad Barrall belted a solo home run for J.F. Kennedy (5-4). Joe Stone, Eric Giordano and Pablo Torres each added an RBI for the Mustangs.
Hunterdon Central 15, East Brunswick 2: Geggie Russomagno went 3-for-5 with five RBI to lead Hunterdon Central (5-5). Matt Salter went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, Brett McManus went 2-for-2 with a homer and John Icazza and Jeremy Ake each had multi-hit, multi-RBI games in a 14-hit Red Devils attack. Mike Novello pitched five innings of two-hit ball for the win. Tyler McNamara hit a two-run homer in the fourth innning for East Brunswick (6-6).
Middlesex 3, Marist 0: Winning pitcher Anthony Keri tossed a complete game five-hitter with five strikeouts for Middlesex (12-0). The Blue Jays mustered just four hits but scratched out all three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Tommy Marcinczyk and Brennan Price each delivered a double, while Dan Berardi, Jeff Reinecke, and AJ Vischetti all crossed the plate.

North Brunswick 6, Union 5: Chris Iocca went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI and doubled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to power North Brunswick (4-6). Joe Manley belted a a two-run homer to give North Brunswick a 4-1 lead. Union came right back to tie the game in the wake of three Raiders errors and a two-out, two-run single by Jon Brignoni (two hits, three RBI). Winning pitcher Michael Pfeiffer (3-0) went the distance, allowing two eanred runs and striking out five.
Roselle Park 11, South River 6: Doug Ryan belted two homers and collected three RBI and Steven Barberio struck a two-run single for South River (4-5). Luis Amaro led Roselle Park going 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI. Paul Sep hit a bases-clearing double in the seventh inning to provide insurance.
