Homecoming and breaking records

The new high school football-themed docu-drama “Wait ‘Til Next Year” premiered on Friday, November 1 on MTV. Check out our recap every Monday to catch up on the drama with the 2011 Lincoln Park (Mich.) Railsplitters.

What happened:

It’s almost homecoming time! Time for pretty dresses, and drama. Ed didn’t make the homecoming court and Ashley did, so Ed’s a little crushed. Yanni decided she wants to go to homecoming with some dude, which is totally confusing Danielle. On top of that, the guys are one loss away from holding the record for the most losses in state history.

The Good:

Danielle decided to go to homecoming with Naeem – I don’t hate it. I like seeing Naeem get his way every now and then. It was also cool seeing Cody all giddy over Cheyenne again – this guy deserves some happiness!

In this week’s game, it was the first time all season the guys have had a two touchdown lead! Thats a recipe for a win, right?

The Bad

Wrong. This loss was heartbreaking. They were so close, and played so well. Toughest loss yet, without a doubt.

Memorable Quotes:

“Come on now, I sweat chocolate people.” – Naeem

“It’s hard not to like me.” – Dakota

“What’s the point of wearing makeup.” – Yanni

Bottom line:

I really thought this team was going to win before breaking the record. It was really sad to see. I hope they don’t feel like there is no point in winning anymore. Don’t give up guys!
