Oshkosh West knocked down seven 3-pointers and rebounded from a tough loss on the road to knock off Wisconsin Rapids, 46-34, in a non-conference boys basketball game on Saturday.
“It felt good to get back on the winning track,” West coach Jason Fahrney said. “The key was we shot the ball better tonight than we have in a while.”
Ryan Sorensen made three of the Wildcats’ seven treys and finished with 11 points, while Cole Johnson registered a pair of 3-pointers.
Yet, it was Eli Stanek who led the way for West with a season-high 14 points.
“Eli Stanek played his best game offensively tonight,” Fahrney said. “We got good overall games out of a lot of different guys.”
West led 19-17 at halftime but held the Red Raiders to just six points in the third quarter to build a cushion.
Riley Pressley led Wisconsin Rapids with 12 points.
