Humphrey sets meet records at Mountain Brook Invitational

Marlon Humphrey of Hoover, Ala., considered the top 2014 cornerback recruit in the nation, had a big week on the track as well.

Humphrey, the son of former Alabama and NFL player Bobby Humphrey, has the nation's top times this season in the 110 hurdles (13.38) and 300 hurdles (35.60).

Humphrey and his sistser Brittley, a freshman, each won individual titles on Saturday at the Mountain Brook (Ala.) Invitational.

Marlon Humphrey set meet records while winning the 110 hurdles in 13.38 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 35.61.

Brittley Humphrey won the 100 meters in 14.31 seconds, also a meet record, and also won the 300 meters in 44.42.

The two headline the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.

Had the nation's longest girls javelin toss this season at 161 feet, five inches at the Pasco (Wash.) Invitational on Saturday.

Scored six goals, including four in the first half, to lead Ocean's girls lacrosse team to a 17-7 defeat of Holmdel on Saturday.

On Monday, Cummings, who has said she plans to sign with Penn State, threw a perfect game and was 2-for-3 to lead Northern to a 10-0 softball defeat of North Point (Waldorf, Md.). She is 10-0 with five no-hitters this season.

Ran a 46.46 in the 400 meters Saturday at the Brian Jaeger Elite Classic in Winter Park, the nation's top outdoor time this season.

Had 17 saves in a 13-8 boys lacrosse win at Worcester Prep (Berlin, Md.) on Friday.

Hit his first homer of his career Saturday and then followed that up with three more homers, leading his team to a 24-7 baseball defeat of Taft (Woodland Hills, Calif.).

Madison Shaffer, Neshannock, New Castle, Pa.
Sophomore pitcher
Has thrown three no-hitters for Neshannock's softball team, including a four-inning no-hitter in a 15-0 defeat of Union (New Castle) on Thursday.

Lauren Tanner, Mill Creek, Hoschton, Ga.
Senior forward
Scored all of her team's goals in a 4-2 soccer defeat of North Gwinnett (Suwanee) on Tuesday. She has scored 30 goals this season.
