Huntington guard Chance Chambers has signed with Angelo State University.
Chambers, a first-team All-City selection by The Times, averaged 16.3 points per game en route to first-team All-District 1-4A honors.
“They made me feel like I was at home,” said Chambers, a 6-foot, 170-pound point guard. “The coaching was the same with my coach, Mack Jones, at Huntington. They made me feel like that was the spot where I needed to be.”
Chambers, the Class 4A state long jump champion, will continue his track career at Angelo State, where he will compete in the long jump.
Angelo State is a Division II school located in San Angelo, Texas.
