THE WINNER: Tristen Hoge


School: Highland (Pocatello, Idaho)
Grade: Junior
Position: C
Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 290 pounds

Athletic achievement: He recorded 97 pancake blocks this past season, leading the Rams (11-1) to the Class 5A state championship game. Hoge helped pave the way for a Highland offense that averaged 422 yards and 37.7 points per game. A First Team All-State selection, he was a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American and is rated as the nation’s No. 27 recruit in the Class of 2015 by

Academic excellence: Hoge has maintained a 4.10 GPA.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally on behalf of the Shop With a Ram program, which provides Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. 


“Hoge is a fantastic football player with an unlimited future,” said Scott Berger, head coach at Skyline (Idaho Falls, Idaho). “He’s an outstanding physical specimen with great technique and knowledge of the game.”

THE FUTURE: Hoge will be a senior next fall.
