Aaron Hayes scored 27 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as Christian Academy rolled to a 68-54 victory over host Crothersville on Tuesday night in high school boys’ basketball.
Devonta King added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors (10-9), who recorded their sixth straight win.
Crothersville (8-11) was paced by Gene Hodge’s 27 points, including four 3-pointers.
* Corydon 78, South Central 34: The host Panthers (15-5) shot 79 percent in the second half and throttled the Rebels (12-7).
Corydon’s Bronson Kessinger led all scorers with 19 points, and Tyler Ross chipped in 15.
South Central was led by Jason Boston’s 14 points.
* Madison 61, South Ripley 49: The visiting Cubs (14-6) fought off a second-half rally by the Raiders (14-6) to preserve the win.
Madison, which led 29-18 at halftime and 40-37 after three quarters, was led by Landon Perry’s 17 points. Ryan Thurston added 16 points and Carson Wattenbarger 13 for the winners.
“I was really happy with the poise that our boys showed,” Madison coach Pat King said.
Trey Sparks led South Ripley with 19 points.
