Chris Braun totaled 21 points and pulled down six rebounds as host Charlestown decked rival New Washington 74-52 Tuesday night in high school boys’ basketball.
Aaron Daniel added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Pirates (10-7), who knocked down a school-record 14 3-pointers.
New Washington (9-10) was led by Devin Herron’s 21 points, including six threes.
* Orleans 55, West Washington 42: The visiting Bulldogs (10-9, 3-3 Patoka Lake Athletic) got a game-high 21 points from Trey Bradley and 17 from Cale Hall to defeat the Senators (4-13, 0-5).
Ty Bolton led West Washington with 14 points, and Chad Thompson had 13.
* Brownstown 71, Floyd Central 46: Brett McCory scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the host Braves (18-1) over the Highlanders (4-16).
Austin Snodgrass chipped in 17 points and Skylar Thompson 16 for Brownstown.
* Perry Central 70, Crawford County 55: Tanner Cassidy scored 17 points, and the host Commodores (15-2, 3-1, Patoka Lake Athletic) led by 11 points at the half and cruised to victory over the Wolfpack (13-5, 4-1).
Derek Thomas added 12 points for Perry Central. Ranger Caffrey scored 17 points and Jordan Nickelson 16 for Crawford County.
