Anthony Rocco threw a complete game eight-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk to earn his fourth win of the season as Jackson Memorial claimed its fourth Class A South title in the last five seasons with a 4-3 win over Toms River East on Tuesday afternoon.

Brick’s win over Toms River South, 6-4, late Tuesday evening means Jackson Memorial will be the outright division champion for the third time since 2009.

Joe DeMaio hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to plate Matt Guarino with the winning run.

Jackson Memorial was winning, 3-2, with two outs in the top of the seventh when CJ Hirschy hit a solo homer to left field to tie the score for the Raiders.

MON. DONOVAN 5, PINELANDS 0: Senior hurler Rich Power went the distance, striking out 10, walking one and yielding just one hit for his third win as the Griffins (12-2, 8-2) kept pace with Jackson Liberty in Class B South thanks to a win over the Wildcats (3-9, 3-8).

A four-run second inning propelled Monsignor Donovan as Dan McGeehan smacked a two-run double and Chris Calderone a two-run single, both coming with two outs.

The Lions lead the Griffins by a half-game in Class B South. The two will play each other on Thursday afternoon.

OCEAN 3, FREEHOLD 2: On a 2-2 pitch in the top of the sixth, junior catcher Zack Godfrey hit an RBI double that scored Jordan Bell and the Spartans (8-7, 6-4) hung on for a Class B North win at the Colonials (7-6, 4-6).

CBA 10, FREEHOLD TWP. 4: A three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth from Joe Dudek highlighted a five-run inning that helped the Colts (9-3) pull away from the Patriots in Class A North.
