Jake Leingang breaks 21-year-old high school record

Jake Leingang of Bismarck, N.D., broke a 21-year-old state boys high school record with a 4:08.57 in the 1,600 meters last Friday at the Karlgaard Invitational, his first outdoor meet of the season. His previous best was a 4:10.70. Leingang, an Oregon commit, has five individual state track titles and three state cross country titles.
