ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.-It was a wild and crazy game Friday night at Orchard Park. When it was over Jamestown walked away with a 42-41 win over the Quakers.
Jamestown led 19-7 at halftime. In the second half both teams exploded. The teams combined for 57 points in the second half. Orchard Park scored 27 in the fourth quarter while Jamestown scored 16 in the fourth quarter.
The Quakers DeSean Walker scored from one yard out with 27 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. That cut Jamestown’s lead to one point. Orchard Park went for the two point conversion and the win but the try was no good and the Quakers comeback fell just short.
Jamestown’s quarterback Jake Sisson was 26-39 for 423 yards passing and three touchdowns. Sisson also had 77 yards rushing on 14 carries and two touchdowns. Running back Da’Quan Hollingsworth was held to 13 yards rushing on 10 carries and no touchdowns. Wide receiver Stephen Carlson had 202 yards receiving and one touchdown. Zack Panabianco had 114 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Orchard Park’s quarterback Kevin Goltz was 14-24 for 243 yards passing and two touchdowns. He also had 152 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Running back DeSean Walker had 121 yards rushing on 28 carries and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Christopher Murphy had 130 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Orchard Park dominated the time of possession 30:28 to 17:32 Jamestown. Jamestown had not beaten Orchard Park in Orchard Park since 1992. Jamestown is 7-0 while Orchard Park 5-2.
