Jamestown rolls to Class AA Section Championship

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.- We knew Jake Sisson was good. In the Class AA Section VI Championship on Saturday night, we found out how good as Jamestown rolled by Frontier 42-7.

The Jamestown quarterback erupted for 402 yards passing, 100 yards rushing, two passing touchdowns and three passing touchdowns. Not bad for a night’s work.

The Red Raiders entered the championship game averaging over 50 points a game. They didn’t reach their average, but 607 yards of offense is not too shabby.

Jamestown receiver Zach Panebianco had five catches for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Sisson threw two interceptions, the only turnovers of the game, in an otherwise flawless performance.

Frontier did not score until late in the fourth quarter to prevent the shutout. Frontier went 1 for 8 on 3rd Down, while Jamestown was 7 for 10.

Frontier moved the ball and totaled 331 yards but the defense could not stop the big play. It seemed like every Jamestown possession had a play over 20 yards.

The Red Raiders roll on to the Far West Regionals in Rochester next weekend.
