Chef of the Week

In hoops the term “cookin'” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.

This week’s Chef of the Week award goes to Howard Pulley Panthers (Minn.) forward Reid Travis for his dominant play in the AAU Super Showcase.

Travis poured in 27 points and seven rebounds to lead the Panthers past E1T1 (Fla.) in the championship game.

Poster of the Week

This week’s Poster of the Week winner is Mac Irvin Fire (Chicago) center Jahlil Okafor for the poster he created during a recent tournament in Las Vegas.

Okafor swallowed an offensive rebound, took a power dribble and threw down a monster one-hander over a defender, drawing the and-one in the process.

And, yes, it was quite vicious.

Oh No They Didn’t!

This award is reserved for a player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.

This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is BWSL (Va.) guard Robert Johnson for his clutch, game-winning drive and score to knockoff Houston Hoops and take BWSL to the AAU Super Showcase Final Four.

Coming up with the most clutch of buckets on the biggest stage?

Oh yes he did.
