THIS guy, Jon Gruden, is a good guy. The ESPN football analyst and Frank Caliendo target is doing his part to help three Tampa Bay-area high school football programs that are struggling to survive.
Gruden invited the head coaches from Leto (Tampa), Gibbs (St. Petersburg) and Gulf (New Port Richey) to the Original Hooters in Clearwater, where he surprised them with checks for $5,000 on behalf of the Fired Football Coaches Association.
“We made a big start tonight,” Gruden told 10 News. “I think reality, awareness, getting your emotions involved is the best way to do it… People just need to know that these kids need help big-time… That’s all we’re trying to do, is give back… And get people to realize about reality, where high school football is.”
