Less than three months after her resignation from Voorhees High School, cross country and track coach Justina Cassavell has found a job on the next level.
The widely respected mentor, who guided Voorhees to eight state group titles and three NJSIAA Meet of Champions crowns on the trails, has joined the Ramapo College staff. She will serve as as head coach of men’s and women’s cross country and an assistant in track and field.
Upon announcing her retirement last spring, Cassavell indicated an interest in coaching collegians.
“In the last few years I’ve been itching to do something different,” she said.
She didn’t have to wait long for the opportunity.
