Eastern Brown (Winchester, Ohio) sophomore first baseman Kayla Seigla never had a multiple-homer day until last Thursday, when she belted four of them in a 13-3 softball defeat of Fayetteville-Perry (Perry). Her four-homer game is likely to be recognized as a Ohio record. Several Ohio girls, including five last season, have hit three, according to the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
She started with a solo shot in the first, followed by a grand slam in the second, a two-run homer in the fourth and a solo homer in the sixth. Seigla, who has said she plans to sign with Toledo, has nine homers for the season.
