Senior midfielder Sean Koubek scored the game-winning goal with 7:05 left as the Freehold Township boys lacrosse team defeated Colts Neck, 14-13, in a Class A North game Wednesday.

Koubek finished with one goal and two assists while junior attackman Stephen O’Brien finished with four goals and one assist for the Patriots (4-1, 2-1). Colts Neck junior midfielder John Miller had six goals and three assists for the Cougars (4-2, 2-1).

ST. JOHN VIANNEY 10, ST. ROSE 6: Junior attackman T.J. Coleman and junior midfielder Dan Louriero each scored two goals in the first half and helped the Lancers (4-3, 2-1) in the Shore Conference Class A Central game.

Coleman finished with three goals and four assists and Louriero finished with three goals and senior goalie Sean Sullivan made nine saves.

St. Rose sophomore attackmen Scott Dimmit and Matt Frost each scored three goals and sophomore goalie Wesley White made eight saves for the Purple Roses (2-2, 0-2).

TOMS RIVER NORTH 10, LACEY 9: Senior attackman Brad Rosstedt had four goals as the Mariners (2-3, 2-2) defeated the Lions (4-4, 1-4) in a Class A South game. Lacey senior attackman Brock Torre had four goals.

HOLMDEL 9, SHORE 6: Junior attackman Joe Tages scored two of his four goals in the third quarter as the Hornets (5-2, 2-1) defeated the Blue Devils (3-3, 1-2) in a Class A Central game. Shore senior midfielder Jesse Phalanukorn had four goals.

IN GIRLS LACROSSE

TR SOUTH 12, HOWELL 11: Macy Scott scored five goals including the game-winning goal with 1:24 left in the game to lead the Indians (5-0) past the Rebels (3-3) in a nondivisional game.

The Indians were losing 7-3 at the half until Scott scored four goals in the second half to put her team back in the game. Victoria Alvarez scored five goals and had one assist. Howell’s Chynna Chan led her team with four goals, and Maria Madsen scored three goals.

FREEHOLD TWP. 10, WALL 9: Carli Dixon scored two goals including the game-winning goal with 9.9 seconds left in the game to lead the Patriots (5-1, 5-1) past the Crimson Knights (2-3, 2-3) in a Class A North game.

Kelsey Murphy scored four of her game-high six goals to help the Patriots outscore the Crimson Knights 6-4 in the second half. Freehold Township’s Shayne Zyskowski made 22 saves in the net.

IN BOYS TENNIS

MONSIGNOR DONOVAN 3, LACEY 2: Dylan Thompson-Sevcik won his match at second singles leading the Griffins (5-1) over the Lions (4-3) in a nondivisional match. Nick Swanson also secured a point at third singles after he defeated Josh Dudas 7-5, 7-5.

John Halliday also won his match at first singles after he defeated Brian Dylla 7-5, 6-2.

LONG BRANCH 3, RED BANK 2: Emir Hamzic won his seventh match of the season at first singles for the Green Wave (4-4) leading them over the Bucs in a Class B North match.

Alexis Castellon secured the winning point of the match at second singles for the Green Wave after he defeated Alan Macioszek 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.

CBA 4, MANALAPAN 1: Mike Montanelli won his match at first singles leading the Colts (5-1) over the Braves (5-2) in a Class A North match. Anthony Dein also secured a point for the Colts at second singles after he defeated Chris Natividad 6-0, 6-1.

MANASQUAN 3, MONMOUTH 2: Craig Lapham won his match at second singles leading the Warriors (4-1) over the Falcons (3-3) in a Class A Central match. .
