Laconia boys and girls track each win home quadrangular

Laconia Invitational: The Spartans represented well on Tuesday, winning both the boys and girls meet. The girls finished with 114 1/2 points while Omro finished in second with 79 1/2, North Fond du Lac in third with 37 and the Kettle Moraine Lutheran B team finished last with 12 points.

On the boys side, Laconia won the meet with 146 points while Omro finished runner up with 106 points. St. Lawrence finished third with 34 points while North Fond du Lac finished fourth with 25. The KML B team finished in last with 23.

The Laconia girls’ team had 11 event winners overall. Lindsey Frieler and Hailey Isaac each won two events, with Freiler taking the 200 and 400-meter dash while Isaac took the 800 and 1,600-meter runs. Kalley Haen took the 3,200 while Alex Wegner took the 100-meter hurdles. Chanel Becker added a first place in the Discus.

On the boys’ side, the Spartans won 10 events and were led by Justin Johnson and Chad Stahmann, who each won two events. Johnson won the 400 and was part of the 4×400 relay team while Stahmann won the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs.
