The Spartans — ranked sixth in Division 4 — moved to 10-0 on the season behind a balanced offensive night and tough defense. Junior Zach Bartz had 13 points to led Laconia, which won for the second time in as many nights.

“We looked a little tired after last night (Friday vs. KML), but we played a great defensive game for three quarters,” Spartans coach Tom King. “That’s what we hang our hat on.”

Markesan (2-8) was held to single digits in the first three quarters before scoring 20 points in the fourth. Senior Logan Grahn had a game-high 18 points.
