LOCKPORT, N.Y.-Coming off a season that saw them win just one game Lancaster participated Saturday in the annual Lockport scrimmage.
Lancaster had a tough season last year but that hasn’t stopped them from setting their goals high for this season. Second year head coach Chris Dickson understands that changes don’t always have to occur after a losing season. He told channel 2 sports that, we’re not changing much of anything, we’re fitting our offense and our defense to our personnel this year.”
Coach Dickson feels like having his team mature is also important. He told channel 2 sports that, “my personal goal is to see these guys grow, seeing these guys progress through. Obviously we have our team goal of winning the division, but we are a long way from that. My goal is to be better than last year.”
Senior wide receiver Dan Corbi understands that last year needs to be forgotten and that winning the division is also his goal. He told channel 2 that, “we’re just hoping to wipe away last year and forget about it. My personal goal is to win the division like a lot of teams.”
Lancaster opens the season Saturday September 7 at Kenmore West.
