Bailey Budnik defeated host Green Bay East’s and No. 1 seed Valentina Gisbert to win the the No. 1 singles title at the Fox River Classic Conference Tournament on Thursday.
Budnik won in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 to take home the title.
The Ships’ Nos. 1-3 doubles teams all placed, led by the No. 3 duo of Jen Belisle and Dayna Decker who took third, winning the third-place match in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
Michaela Jagemann and Sydney Verbauwhede (No. 1) lost the third-place match 6-0, 6-3 to take forth.
Rounding out the finishers for Lincoln were the doubles teams were Justine Jacobs and Hannah Ramminger (No. 2), who won the fifth-place match in three sets 2-5, 7-5, 6-0.
