At Sturgeon Bay, Little Chute’s Brandon Elrick defeated Donald Tourtillott of Menominee Indian 3-2 in the final match of the meet to give the Mustangs the Dirk Sorenson Door County Classic wrestling championship by one point over Green Bay Preble/East on Saturday.
Elrick’s victory came in the championship match of the 285-pound weight class. Bryce Zdanovec and Matt Vandenberg had second-place finishes for Little Chute.
Menasha and Shiocton each had a pair of first-place finishes.
The Bluejays’ Jimmy Sell went 3-0 to win the 126-pound weight class, while Zeek Hooyman took first at 220 pounds. Sell was named the meet’s most valuable wrestler.
Shiocton’s Austin Riehl went 3-0 to take first at 132 pounds. Zech Riehl went 3-0 to win at 170.

Pulaski Invitational
Wausau West used five first-place finishes to power its way to the Pulaski Invitational title with 220½ points.
Kaukauna finished second with 177½ points, while Luxemburg-Casco was third with 170½.
The Ghosts are the top-ranked team in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online Division 1 team rankings and Wausau West is ranked second. Luxemburg-Casco is ranked first in Division 2 while Bay Port, which finished fourth with 160 points, is ranked fourth in Division 1.
New London’s Austin Postel won the 182-pound division with an 8-0 decision over John Kamps of Oconto Falls. Postel won his quarterfinal by pinning Coleman’s Jordan Micheels in 1:57 and defeated Kaukauna’s Vince Zornow 10-6 in his semifinal. Kamps is ranked ninth among Division 2 182-pounders in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online rankings. Postel is ranked ninth.
Kaukauna’s Nick Dercks, who ranks seventh in the Wisconsin Wrestling Online individual Division 1 rankings, took first in the 195-pound weight class. Dercks pinned Alex Everard of Seymour in 3:31, beat Dan Dorner of Luxemburg-Casco 5-3 and, in the championship match, beat Isaac Nowak of Coleman 9-6. Nowak is ranked sixth in Division 3.
