Bianca Ascolese carded a 6-over par at James Baird State Park on Wednesday, leading the Our Lady of Lourdes High School girls golf team to a 234-319 victory over host Arlington.
Ascolese earned medalist honors.
The Town of Poughkeepsie’s Warriors improved to 8-0.
Rebeca Tytlar contributed a 44 for Lourdes.
Camila Andalis turned in a team-low 50 for Freedom Plains’ Admirals, who fell to 1-8 for the season.
Arlington wraps up its season on Monday, when the Admirals host Suffern.
Late Tuesday, Lourdes beat Carmel, 237-306, behind Ascolese’s 8-over-par 43 at Sedgewood Country Club.
New Paltz wins tri-match — Bernice Lee shot a 4-over-par 39 and her sister, Alice Lee, carded a 41 as New Paltz carded a 140, John A. Coleman Catholic scored a 194 and Ellenville scored a 197 at Woodstock Country Club late Tuesday.
New Paltz is 11-3 overall and 6-0 in division play.
Lourdes, the 20th-seed in the Section 1 Class C tournament, fell to 13th-seeded Albertus Magnus, 17-5, ending the Warriors’ season at 4-12.
Danielle Keenan and Megan Riccardi each scored twice for Lourdes, while Cat Gallery also scored. Julie Canevari made seven saves for the Warriors.
“I am blown away by the way the girls played,” Lourdes coach Megan Douglas said. “For the first year as a varsity program, they held their own.”
Red Hook 15, John S. Burke Catholic 5 — Four Raiders — Caitlin Swanson, Ciara Burud, Marist Parr and Laura Hegstetter — all scored three goals apiece in the Raiders’ home win.
Lindsay Hobson tallied twice for Red Hook (14-2 overall, 14-0 league), and Sara Livecchi scored once.
Arlington’s Mark Cukaj and Rahul Sinha advanced to Monday’s Round of 16 in the Section 1 Tournament by defeating Max Davidson and Brendan Roeschel, 6-2, 6-0, in the round of 32 at White Plains High School late Tuesday.
Cukaj and Sinha, who defeated Sena Baba and Aditya Dave of Briarcliff, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round, will compete on Monday at White Plains.
Davidson and Roeschel topped Beacon’s Michael Knowles and Erik Gaster in three sets in the first round.
Aiden Burkhard scored the only goal for visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt late Tuesday, as his Presidents from Hyde Park lost to Monroe-Woodbury, 16-1.
Washingtonville 17, New Paltz 10 — Justin Mannix had five goals, but the Huguenots lost on the road late Tuesday.
