The No. 2 Haldane High School girls basketball team eased into the Section 1 Class C semifinals with a home win over No. 7 Yonkers Montessori, 67-13, on Wednesday.
Liz Khadabux led the Blue Devils with 15 points, while Sam Lisikatos scored 12 and Allie Monteleone added 10.
Haldane (12-5) will face No. 3 Palisade Prep on Tuesday at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
Highland 50, Chapel Field 20 – Tianna Pittman led the Huskies with 12 points and five rebounds, as the victors improved to 8-9 on the season.
Shannon Ward (five rebounds), Sam Valentino (four assists) and Alison Rozzi (three assists) each contributed seven points toward the winning effort.
Highland took a 24-2 lead after the first period and grew its advantage to 31-3 by halftime.
Pine Plains 54, Rondout Valley 33 — Maria Farias had 25 points and Ashley Starzyk added 17 points as the Bombers improved to 7-11 overall with a road win.
Highland defeated host Rhinebeck, 51-28, with Travis Marnell had a game-high 12 points.
The Huskies improved to 10-8 overall with a win. T.J Byrne and Ryan Merget had eight points apiece for Highland.
Luke Matthews and Josh Hanaburgh scored six points each for Rhinebeck, which finished the season at 5-12 overall.
Millbrook 50, Onteora 41 — Devon Jackson had a game-high 21 points as the visiting Blazers defeated the Indians.
Max Schaubhut added 10 points for the Blazers.
Berkshire 65, Trinity-Pawling 63 — Adrian O’Sullivan provided Trinity-Pawling with 22 points, including six 3-pointers, in the road loss.
Braedon Bayer recorded seven points, 10 assists and five steals, while Ryan Yearwood added 10 points for Trinity-Pawling (16-6), which hosts Kent on Saturday.
