Jackson Beveridge, Emile Kuyl and James McColgan each won three events as the visiting New Paltz High School swimming and diving team defeated Cornwall 97-86 in an Orange County League meet.
Beveridge placed first in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 10.40 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.70. Beveridge was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:44.66) with Seamus Quinn, McColgan and Kuyl. Kuyl placed first in the 100 freestyle in 50.60. McColgan finished first in the 100 backstroke (59.20). Kuyl, McColgan, Whitman Oehler-Marx and Mitchell Rifkind placed first in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:38.80.
Oehler-Marx won the 200 free (1:58.70) and Quinn won the 500 free (5:08.60). New Paltz improved to 10-2 overall, while Cornwall fell to 8-4.
Kingston 106, Marlboro 64 — Michael Ercolani won the 100 backstroke in 1:30.38, but the Iron Dukes dropped to 2-9 overall with the Orange County League loss. Kingston improved to 9-3.
Newburgh Free Academy 83, Rhinebeck 66 – Nolan Graziano beat the field in the 50 freestyle with a winning time of 24.81 seconds, but his Hawks lost on the road.
Yorktown 49, Beacon 39 – Nicholas Negron won the 50 freestyle in 24.82 seconds for the Bulldogs, who lost on the road.
Peekskill 85, Poughkeepsie 81 — Zachary Woolley placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:24.27) and 100 butterfly (105.27), but visiting Poughkeepsie fell.
Minisink Valley 121, Franklin D. Roosevelt 51 – Competing on the road, Hyde Park’s Presidents got a second-place finish Michael Craven (24.70) in the 50 freestyle.
Chris Pisciotta had 20 points and 11 rebounds in Mount Saint Mary’s 102-45 win over St. Joseph’s (L.I.) late Thursday. The host Blue Knights (11-6) improved to 8-3 in Skyline Conference play.
Arlington graduate Rachel Perrone scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds late Thursday as the visiting Mount Saint Mary Blue Knights beat St. Joseph’s (L.I.) 64-43 to improve to 8-1 in the Skyline Conference.
