Louisiana's Harlem Shake

Louisiana’s top HS football talent did the Harlem Shake

Hunter Dale doesn’t have an offer from Florida, but we know what the John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, La.) sophomore safety would look like in a Gator uniform. Dale was one of several top Louisiana high school football prospects, including a few LSU commits, who appeared in the New Orleans Time-Picayune’s “Harlem Shake” video at the New Orleans Saints’ practice facility on Sunday.

Dale was “The Gator” — he’s impossible to miss — and Dylan Moses, the eighth grader who has already been offered by LSU and Alabama, makes an appearance as “Obama No. 5.”

The second thing you might wonder while watching the video (after asking yourself when this Harlem Shake business will finally die) is why John Curtis linebacker Kenny Young repeatedly pummels a baby doll during the clip.

Well, that’s not just any baby doll. That’s NOLA.com recruiting analyst James Smith’s “baby,” Buster D. Smith, which somehow makes it less creepy.

Buster, the top-rated recruit in the Class of 2030, recently received his first offer and was not harmed in the filming of the video. Buster, as you may have gathered, was created — sorry, born — to poke fun at the increasingly ridiculous recruiting process.
