Charlie Noone didn’t waste any time getting the hot hand for Lourdes Academy.

Noone knocked down four 3-pointers and had 16 points in the first quarter to lead an early outburst that carried the Knights to a 74-32 season-opening win over Princeton/Green Lake on Friday night.

Behind Noone’s outburst, Lourdes took a 26-5 lead at the end of the first quarter and were never threatened. Lourdes put the game away in the third quarter, outscoring Princeton/Green Lake 22-11.

Noone finished with 27 points and five 3-pointers.

Adam Trofka added 10 points in the Knights’ balanced attack.

Jordan Wesner led Princeton/Green Lake with 12 points.

Ripon 71, Waupaca 55: Sam Vander Plas led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points as the Tigers downed the Comets.

Luke Loewe added 16 points, Bennett Vander Plas added 14 and Landon Fenner finished with 10, while the Tigers finished an impressive 15-of-17 from the free-throw line.

Ripon outscored Waupaca in every quarter and led 38-26 at halftime.

Brando Vasquez and Zander Neuville each had 14 points to pace Waupaca.

Little Chute 46, Omro 32: Sam Berger finished with 15 points for Omro, who were bitten by a cold third quarter against the Mustangs.

Little Chute led 23-18 at halftime, but Omro (1-1) managed just four points in the third quarter as the Mustangs extended the lead to 38-22.

D.J. DeValk scored 14 points to lead Little Chute (1-1), which had a big advantage at the free-throw line. The Mustangs finished 12-of-16 at the charity stripe, while Omro was just 1-of-6.
