The Loyola Flyers didn’t have enough firepower to get by No. 1-seeded Albany, falling 77-47 on Monday night in the Class 3A quarterfinals.
Amber Smith scored 17 points and senior Evandrielle Matthews added 11 for Loyola, which closes out the 2012-13 campaign at 24-10.
“Albany shot the ball really well tonight, making 12 3-pointers,” Loyola coach Kyle Tanner said. “Our nerves got to us a little cause our shots weren’t falling. Their pressure got to us, because they were very aggressive tonight.”
