Makayla Epps passed 3,000 points for her career last week and it's easy to see she's not slowing down. The senior point guard, a Kentucky recruit, led No. 7 Marion County (Lebanon, Ky.) to three wins last week by averaging 33.7 points.

Tyra Buss, Mount Carmel, Ill.
Had 45 points and seven steals in a 65-53 win at East Richland (Olney, Ill.) on Monday. Last Thursday, she had 44 points and six steals in a 76-53 defeat of Lincoln (Vincennes, Ind.).
Breck Clark, Dale, Okla.
Had 23 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in championship defeat of Earlsboro in Tri-County Tournament in Shawnee, Okla.
Whitney Jennings, Logansport, Ind.
Iowa recruit averaged 32 points, 8.0 rebounds, 10.5 assists and 9.5 steals in two wins last week.
Anna Vollmar, Bendle (Burton, Mich.)
Scored 48 points, including 28 in the first quarter, in a 83-30 defeat of Bentley (Burton) on Wednesday. Also had 10 rebounds and 10 steals in the game.
Imani Wright, Rainier Beach (Seattle)
Wright scored 43 of her team's 48 points in a 87-48 loss to Bainbridge (Bainbridge, Isle, Wash.) on Friday. Two days earlier, she scored 25 points in a 86-54 loss to Bishop Blanchet (Seattle).
Boys Top Performances
Bryce Alford, La Cueva, N.M.
The 6-3, 175-pound son of New Mexico coach Steve Alford, is averaging 38.2 points a game while leading La Cueva (Albuquerque, N.M.) to a 14-1 record, including 14 in a row. He had 36 points, seven assists and 10 rebounds in a 81-73 defeat of Rio Rancho on Jan. 22 and had 30 points, including seven three-pointers, in a 75-54 defeat of Clovis on Friday.
Anders Broman, Lakeview Christian Academy (Duluth, Minn.)
State's all-time leading scorer had 44 points in a 102-73 defeat of South Ridge (Culver, Minn.) on Thursday and 32 points in a 84-75 loss to Minnehaha (Minn.) Academy on Friday.
Eric Mika, Lone Peak (Highland, Utah)
Averaged 23 points and 12 rebounds while leading the No. 3 Knights to two wins last week.
Pat Smith, Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.)
Hit five consecutive three-pointers and had seven overall en route to a 30-point effort in a 65-53 defeat of Conwell-Egan (Levittown, Pa.) on Monday.
Andrew Wiggins, Huntington (W.Va.) Prep
Led No. 8 Express to two wins in Dunk 4 Diabetes tournament in North Canton, Ohio, scoring 30 points with 14 rebounds in a 61-59 defeat of Mentor, Ohio, and scoring 24 points with 10 rebounds in a 82-40 defeat of Benedictine (Cleveland).
