CLAYMONT – Jack Malloy scored two touchdowns as Archmere posted its first win of the season with a 28-8 victory over Tatnall on Saturday afternoon.
Malloy scored on a 37-yard run in the first quarter and a 77-yard jaunt in the second as the Auks (1-2) built up a 28-0 halftime lead. Colin Duffy added a 4-yard touchdown run and John Nocket returned an interception 65 yards for a score to complete the Archmere scoring.
Howard 42, Christiana 0CHRISTIANA – Trevon Bordrick rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns and added another touchdown on an interception return as Howard blanked Christiana in a Blue Hen Conferenc e Flight B game.
Bordrick scored on 39 and 9-yard runs in the first half as the Wildcats (3-0, 2-0) jumped out to a 28-0 halftime advantage. He also ran a interception back 42 yards for a score in the third quarter.
Woodbridge 24, Wilmington Friends 12BRIDGEVILLE – Quarterback Logan Wescott ran for 64 yards and a touchdown and passed for 131 yards and a touchdown as Woodbridge downed Wilmington Friends in a nonconference game.
Shedrick Rayford, who rushed for 61 yards on the day, got Woodbridge (2-1) on the scoreboard with a 5-yard run in the second quarter.
Wescott hit Jefferson with a 10-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter to give the Blue Raiders a 13-0 halftime lead.
St. Georges 49, Mount Pleasant 18PENNY HILL – Tymiere Griffin rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns to lead St. Georges to a victory over Mount Pleasant in a Blue Hen Conference Flight B game.
Griffin scored on runs of 4 and 2 yards.
Twin brothers Taronn and Keyjuan Selby rushed for two touchdowns each for St. Georges (3-0, 2-0).
Taronn Selby ran for 102 yards on the day with touchdowns of 13 and 14 yards while Keyjuan Selby ran for 75 yards and posted touchdowns of 14 and 13 yards.
